Responsibilities:

•Assist in loading and unloading vehicles utilizing a cylinder hand truck
•Make deliveries in a safe and efficient manner; perform minor repairs on the vehicles (s) as well as product handling equipment
•Obey highway laws and drive defensively at all times
•Project a courteous and professional image to customers and others outside the company at all times
•Maintain a driver’s log and complete all required paperwork. Hand in driver’s log daily.
•Report customer problems and comments to Air Liquide supervision
•Must comply with established safety rules and procedures as well as pertinent DOT regulations
•Must wear required safety equipment. The basic equipment to be worn is metatarsal safety shoes, safety glasses and work gloves
•Paint and label cylinders according to Air Liquide and DOT policies
•Perform final preparation and inspections of cylinders prior to shipment to customers
•Stage cylinders within the plant in preparation for shipment
•Retrieve product from stock areas in order to fulfill orders
•Assist in helping dockworkers prepare cylinders for shipment when not delivering product to customers
•Maintain truck cleanliness, cab is to be free of debris and wiped weekly
•The truck exterior is to be washed every two weeks at a truck wash
•Perform clean up of assigned area on continuous basis to maintain a clean working environment, without the needs of direct supervision

Requirements:

Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise:

•Must understand and comply with the established Quality System and is empowered to report any quality deficiencies and stop any plant operation if it is compromising the quality process
•Must understand and comply with all safety regulations and guidelines while on company or customer property
•Must perform their work with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all involved
•Must have ability to operate a fork lift.
•CDL Class B with Hazmat certification

Educational Requirements:

•High School Diploma or GED
•Proficiency in the English language and the ability to accurately perform basic arithmetic calculations
