Sr. Controls Engineer

Responsibilities:

•Specifies and sources components and equipment required for product and project execution including components, materials, chemicals, test fixtures as needed
•Develops and takes ownership of project documents as required including bills of material, process flow diagrams, schematics, operational procedures, test procedures and other documents as required on projects
•Identifies, develops, and improves processes and standards related to areas of expertise as they pertain to engineering methods, quality, safety and manufacturing.
•Proficient with MS Office and other software tools required for the specific projects and role in the organization, may include AutoCAD, Agile, Project as well as project specific tools such as PLC development, data acquisition, or engineering design tools.
•Works with all disciplines on project teams to develop, maintain, and meet schedules and project deliverables. Includes participation and leadership in design and safety reviews, status updates and process documentation as needed.
•Works with manufacturing and supply management teams in a support role to identify, improve, and develop methods, standards, requirements, and procedures consistent with the project goals for manufacturing quality and project costs.
•Takes a leadership role in Interfacing with production employees to assure high quality manufacturing and “Best Practices” on the shop floor
•Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary to meet the needs of internal and external customers

Requirements:

Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise                                         
•Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word)
•Detailed knowledge in tools required for engineering and project execution including AutoCAD, Agile, Solidworks and other engineering design systems
•Detailed knowledge in the methods to read, edit and create P&IDs, schematics, and other product documentation
•General knowledge of customer applications relevant to assigned projects
•Detailed knowledge of manufacturing and assembly as it pertains to assigned products and projects

Educational Requirements
•Bachelors degree in appropriate disciplines of Engineering or Science is required. 3 - 5 years experience required.
•Advanced degree (MS or PhD in Engineering or Sciences) or demonstrated equivalent expertise may be required for advancement onto the Technical Career Ladder
