Responsibilities:
Supervise all aspects of the day to day production of a Dry Ice and CO2 flash Vapor Recovery Plant. Supervise and provide backup coverage for a 50 tpd liquid CO2 purification plant in Memphis, TN. This includes managing plant operators and dry ice technicians and interfacing with other departments within the company, i.e. HSE, sales, distribution, product supply, NSC, accounting, etc.
Comply with Regulatory Requirements, Operate the Plant Safely and Reliably, Develop and Lead People, Identify and implement improvements to the plant at all times (Safety, Efficiency, Reliability)
Requirements:
Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise:
Capable of developing a technical and working understanding of the CO2 plant process
Computer literacy – familiarity with MS Office package, able to remotely access Intranet and learn to use internal systems such as SmartSolve, Maximo and Oracle Cost Reporting.
Able to deliver and explain training material to operating personnel
Extremely organized and effective at time management – able to establish and maintain a plant filing system and control of engineering documents
Mechanical aptitude - comfortable around machinery
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work extended hours and shift work as business needs dictate
On call nights, weekends and holidays as required
Minimal travel – 3 to 6 trips per year is typical
Willing to relocate for promotional opportunity
Education and Experience:
4 years process industry experience plus, Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
