VSA Operations Technician

Responsibilities:

Primary Operations Technician for the Marion, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Chicago Heights, Illinois Vacuum Swing Adsorption (VSA) plants

•Meet or exceed the company’s safety goals, standards and policies
•Operates and maintains a safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly facility
•Ensure customer product delivery requirements (volume and quantity) are satisfactorily fulfilled
•Facility record keeping and documentation as required.
•Troubleshooting process and equipment deficiencies
•Involvement in generating and maintaining site-specific Standard Operating Procedures
•Ensure on-site contractors, vendors, and visitors’ site specific training requirements are met and documented as applicable
•Performance of routine preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with AL policies and procedures
•Supervise on-site contracted maintenance and ensure work in compliance with AL policies and procedures and industry best practices
•Utilization of MAXIMO to write work orders and purchase requisitions and record equipment history

Requirements:

Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise:
•Understanding of customer requirements, operational goals and demands, plant process optimization, and critical process loops.
•Knowledge of good mechanical, electrical and instrument maintenance and related safe work practices
•Ability to work independently, planning day-to-day work activities
•Capable of independent plant start-up, steady state operation, and shutdown
•Applies problem solving skills effectively
•Basic understanding of equipment control logic and critical process loops
•Basic computer skills
•Good written and verbal communication skills


Physical
•Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, and FRC clothing
•Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
•Approximately 25% travel, some overnight
•Able to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Education and Experience
•Five years industrial maintenance experience preferred
•Associates degree or related technical training preferred
